The correct name, at the time of first sale, was 2004R.

Since GM already had a 700R4, the world change the name to 200R4. Even GM eventually acquiesced, as a bunch of the later service literature eventually went there, too.

Beautiful car..... and that come from a Ford guy!

What did you use on your exhaust manifolds? How much time do you have on them?

Boneyard51, the exhaust manifolds are painted with Jegs Blue Header paint. The engine has about 300 miles on it. So far so good.

Great! Looking for something to put on mine. I guess they have other colors? Hope maybe you can show us a pic of them at say, 1000 miles? Sorry if I seem to be using your car as a test car. Lol

Your 63 was an awesome car, but that 60 Poncho is badass! Way cool!

This thread is tough for me cause I've wanted a 60 Pontiac since 1965, when I was 15 years old. My friend had a 60 Bonneville. His parent's spare car, they let him drive it anywhere when he got his learner's permit at 14. Many of our adolescent "firsts" were accomplished in that Pontiac. And it was fast as hell.

Saw this while reading through my stack of old magazines. Enjoy.
