Event Coverage *2018 HAMB Drags Coverage*

HAMB Drags 2018 is in the books. The weekend flew by and was another great time.

Some highlights were seeing Joe Russell and his son, Aiden make the trip in his fresh Model A Roadster, seeing @jho make 3 10-second passes in his blown FE Model A Coupe and getting to visit with a bunch of great folks that we don't see often.

Had alot of fun with our Omaha crew again, too! I love seeing so many make the trek down to Joplin.

@ryno came to the rescue once again to help transport, fix, and store my roadster. Rear spring mount broke and I wasn't even racing this year. Super lucky it didn't happen flying down the highway.

And thank you to all that make this such a fun weekend each year, whether it's your mere presence or all of the work you put into the event and everything that surrounds it. THANK YOU.

Thanks for sharing Nick. Good chatting with you I didnt get to don a lot of hanging out in the parking lot this year. The meds I'm taking kick my butt, I was doing good to make it till dark.

Not yet... It's still under construction, but I can't wait to see it make a pass! Hopefully next year.

 

This is not drama just an observation.

JHO drove that heap in from *Somewhere, USA (about 350-400 miles as I recall) and ran it into the 10s, That was actually faster than at least half of the dedicated trailered race cars.

*I was going to say Podunk Center but I decided to play nice.

 

For me, that car is about as good as it gets. Blown FE coupe that is wicked fast. It was great to see it closeup and in person.
