My list of projects. The 49 tudor is my main focus right now. Then hopefully the roadster back in fighting shape followed by the 46 coupe full custom. That's if I live to be 100.... 29 coupe body on the table, 392 hemi on the right, tranny under the table, and most other parts behind to the right. Just need frame rails and ambition. Photo is a few years ago, parts in foreground are now a completed car.

  9. This is what I like to call my project in waiting. IMG_0262.JPG which is to say, it’s a project and it’s waiting.

Not visible in the pics is the late Model A firewall, intended to go with the grille shell hanging on the wall:

Not a stash but my son's in progress, the first 2 pictures were 3 years ago and it took 2 years to get it to that point. The last pictures are current with the frame finished and DSCN0622.JPG DSCN0632.JPG IMG_2658.JPG IMG_2656.JPG drive train complete.

  16. It takes all kinds to make a world, and about every reason we collectively can imagine has been covered so, how many of you can see your stash from outer space? Addiction is hard.
Yes, the shed is full too, and I do sell occasionally. Like others, I think the thrill is in the hunt. I finish and send one down the road pretty regularly, but I have trouble walking away from "a deal", and I find them or they find me way too often. upload_2018-8-29_6-12-16.png

I’ve been collecting Model A bodies and parts for a few years and each time I am ready to start stitching one together, something else interesting shows up to cut in line. The latest body to show up is a 31 Vicky in dire need of saving.

that's what i love about them A's, take the body's apart and you can store four of them in the space of one car on wheels.

Also the bodies are assembled in pieces so if you find the right parts, you can stitch together a whole car.

  22. Better yet when I attended estate sales I souldnt of even bid on them. I should not have outbid the scrapper and spent time & money dragging them home. Nope I shoulda just let them be crushed & recycled The only person who has the right to decide what they should do is the person who owns the stuff.

  23. That's easy to say Sell. However ready willing & able buyers are very few and far in between. I sold a 55 GMC and a 66 GMC this year. Sold a few hundred in parts. There are not many buyers with cash in my part of the World. Mainly just Me and the scrappers. The 55 GMC went to Wisconsin. I made about $200 profit and nothing for my time & labor. Lost money on the 66 but I had drove it several years. 55 GMC sold 003.JPG

It's a tough balance to save these cars from destruction and not become a hoarder.
I try to save parts and get them to a good home, while trying to fight the urge to squirrel it all away for myself.
But that's what makes America so great, your God given right to do whatever you choose to...

My '56 Bel Air. I was heavily gathering parts for it until I decided to build my '57 150 gasser. Now that I have it together I would like to get back on the '56.

My crap-tastic next project unless I piece a roadster pile together first. I've never been into anything except roadsters and coupes but this thing found me so......

This one is stashed along with another 32 5w and a 30 coupe while I am dragging my feet on a basket case 48 convertible. I can’t stand seeing this car just sitting and waiting.
