I have 1951 Ford F100 brakes on my 32 ford but the rubber lines aren't long enough to allow me to turn lock to lock. brackets are mounted to the edge on the frame now. Help

  3. You can get brake hoses in all kind of different lengths, go down to your (hopefully) friendly parts house and get the (hopefully) knowledgable parts guy to get out the brake hose catalogue. I know Napa does a good job with this. Should not be too difficult to come up with longer hoses.

If you know what length you need there are custom brake hose guys, that's all they do, that will make whatever you want. Couple of them on that auction site. Not expensive, good quality, DOT approved materials, yadda yadda

I recall using 57 -60? f100 hoses on my 29 they were longer than the early ones.

  6. That's why I collect parts illustrated catalogs.

I'd agree with the guys who say you should be able to buy the hoses you need locally at Napa or another full service parts house.
Measure your hose, figure out how much longer it needs to be and go from there.
I've got 52 F1 brakes for my 31 and have to figure it out too.
According to Napa the 51 F 1 front brake hose UP 11146 should be 17.9 long with 3/8 24 Flair and 3/8 24 external threads. The 61/64 F100 hose WAGNER BH35738 is only a half inch longer. at 18.4 had to correct that.

If you can’t find what you need here, find a brake shop that can make hoses and they will make whatever you need.

Now all Rustyrods has to do is dig out the tape measure, check how long his are and go from there.

Don't be tempted to get replacements that are overly long (eg if they were the only ones available in store at the time) as this can bring its own problems with the line rubbing or snagging on turns.
