Never make it up there but pretty sure people get together at Jerry's Restaurant on Thomas Road near 24 Street on Saturday nights. Might start around 7:00 or so. Don't do facebook but maybe you can check with Chip "need louvers" to see if this is still a thing. https://www.facebook.com/louvering/ A good sized Saturday car show is by the Mixteca restaurant at about 67 Ave and Bell Road. Usually gets going kinda early in the evening.

A few years past, we stopped in for an evening cruise shown on the autoscene site, and almost no one was there. Last few times I was there we went to the Pavillions in Scottsdale, shopping center,right off the 101 and Indian Bend Road. Huge cruise night.
We're going to be in town for the Arizona Deuce Day October 27 and I see a listing for a cruise night Fridays at Sam's Club in Surprise. Is it worth stopping by before dinner. Also any other recommendations for Mexican or BBQ restaurants. We are staying off Hwy 17.
Many good Mexican restaurants in and around Phoenix and one of our favorites when we visit each spring is the Barrio on north 16th. We have found wherever we travel to we check out the local places that have appeared on “Diners, Drive In’s and Dives, never been disappointed. Chompies for excellent New York deli experience, awesome.
