There's something I've never seen before, a '54 grille bar in a '53 shell. I like it, looks like it belongs there.

    How about a little background?

I love this pic...guy looks seven feet tall!
Chevy was chopped and sectioned, painted purple, and had a Nailhead Buick (my favorite engine)!

    Below...
This was Spence Murray's Chevy. (Spence was long-time editor of Rod and Custom Magazine, and responsible for the R&C Dream Truck.) Amazing, one of a kind story on this Link Paola-build (used-car salesman, and Spence's boss at the time). See if you can find it.
"Driving seated on crates, in my near new, near junk Chevy". A real hoot!

This '57 Ford was once owned by singer Gene Pitney, who may be unfamiliar, but was a HUGE heart throb singer (as well as contributor to the Rolling Stones early recording sessions). The car ended up in the Joe Bortz collection, and is often seen paired with Bortz's Barris/Seagram Chevy.

Mickey and Travis that shot brings back some cool memories of our trip to Dewey in May. Hudson is back home after several weeks on the ship. Having battery problems as the shippers left the ignition turned onto accessory and looks like it drained and destroyed my $300 Odyssey battery!!!
