Great story Ryan. I followed the entire build. As a fabricator it's good to see how other guys approach their build.

It's the little things and the attention to detail that really make the difference between Good and Great. This is a Great little A! The story is just one of those pluses, Thanks for sharing them both.

That is a great read, I've still got my Pentax 35 MM That I carried to Bonneville in 1998 but haven't used in years.

That coupe while having a few things that make for a reliable reacher has the "look" in spades. Great from all angles.

That article is a great example of why I generally love anything you write.

Killer coupe, that fuckers a regulator for sure.

Both you and John's deep devotion and passion for a quality shot bodes well for your site we enjoy and participate in.

I know that every time I open a JJ article that the content and photography will be top notch and interesting.

That does rub off on the membership to a degree as well as we try to get that money shot when we shoot our rides and present them here. Many members are very good with their eyes and have mechanicals to make the shot sink in.

Nothing wrong with knowing your toys.

Nice Art @HelmuthBrothers as always and nice Hotrod...hope your having fun with it...how could you not.

Hey John not only did I enjoy your shots...I saw what's missing on my Generator..the screens at the back...I always thought something wasn't right back there...:D

  12. what are the elements that make something new feel old/tacticle/special?
i am guessing, in the case of the camera, the most dominant thing would be the weight. the "click" of the knobs.
when it comes to cars, it's "the craftsmen's hand".

Actually yes and here's why, I've been to my share of events, some pretty big, high profile deals where there were so many people you either couldn't get close enough to study the details or get a photo.
It's nice to have the HAMB with member cars of the caliber as the Helmuth car, the Norwell car, etc. to study.

  24. John one day we can actually get together so I can check it out in person.

Got a chance to see it at the Jalopy Showdown, took a ridiculous number of pics of that engine bay. I thought it was the highlight of the show. Love that coupe. My go to guide for my build as well.
