Don't know why it was hard to sell, it's one of the best looking 55\56 fords of all times. Just a beautiful car inside and out..

Thank you. Immodestly, I agree. The paint had issues (blistering), and that apparently scared people off. The eventual buyer has had the car repainted, which I think was the right decision.

Maybe 10-12 years go I got an NOS set of 5 61 Polara Hubcaps here on the HAMB. They have been on my 56 ever since. I still think they are crazy nice. First set of tires were BF Goodrich Silvertowns, second are Firestones. I liked the BFs better for there narrower whitewall, but you only notice this kind of things after buying , mounting and spending bit time, so the Firestones will stay until they wear out on day , hahahaha

I made up a set of these caps with bullets that looked pretty good, the only problem was I hated to drill holes in the centers to mount the bullets.

OK, I like the '57 Cad caps, and the '49 Sombreros, so I took the centers out of my '49's painted them up to match the car and put them in the '57 caps, and now I've got the best of both worlds;) 57:49cad.jpg

Sorry I can't post a picture, but does anyone know what the caps that are currently on the Bill Hines built Angel Baby? Cadillac of some sort. Those are sexy.

  23. You talking about these?

Yes, those are hot too. I'd put those and 53 Eldorados in my pants too, but there's not enough room. Who am I kidding? Plenty of room.

'59 Buick is hard to beat though. You have to see them in person to apreciate.

My 52 Buick has its stock caps. Simple sombrero like with the Buick crest in the centers.
Few pics from the weekend showing them with my missus out in the garage. Looking a bit dull as the car gets driven & im to lazy to wipe down the chrome constantly.
