Saw you and your 49 in tech this morning but you were busy with officials so I left ya alone. Like your car! Best of luck.

Records are falling, the weather is mild and the salt is excellent

I wish Youtube would steam the whole event live like they do the Meltdown drags. Somebody should get on that.

Danny broke a valve spring. No biggie. He is replacing the spring, adding pop to the mixture for return runs in the morning. Speed Demon broke the new motor. Not sure what they are going to do. Flashpoint is through tech and may make a short pass later tomorrow.

Thanks or the updates RichFox. Sounds like a lot of cars going to impound. Salt must be really good finally.

Thompson backed up the record this morning. Ran 450mph. New record is 448.57.

  20. Good for Danny. He represents all the poor, broke hot rodders world wide that throw every last dollar they have at something just for one or two more miles an hour. I hope his top speed holds for the event unless he ups it resetting his own record. Hammer down Danny!

Flashpoint was planning a 3 mile test pass. They sent him down before clearing the course from sweeping to look for debris from earlier runs. So he did not get a 3 mile speed. It's only Sunday.

Flashpoint was almost at the start line when the 757 Camaro tried to be a 757. Stalled out at 30 or 40 feet altitude. Took awhile to cut the car apart and get the guy out. He seems to be OK, but they took him to the hospital for safetys sake. By then it was getting late, so they shut down for the day. Bob gets to keep his place in line, so he can run early tomorrow. Speed Demon turned out twice with the A motor in it. Carbonator made a check out pass. Turbinator went around 370 or 80. Eddy's Chop Shop went 370 I think. I thing Danny is done. He has done what he wanted.

Cool! At the end of the video, that was probably Ed Shearer driving up in his pu truck to help Danny get unbuckled.

Was Danny Thompson's speedometer reading in Kilometers Per Hour? That was quite the run there was turbulence that's for sure. Could'nt see from our angle but was that fishtailing? Such a small steering wheel...Congrats on a Successful blast down the flat. Thanks @Todd553 for posting that very incredible for sure.
