Don’t know the rules… but what’s the possibility you can run without a tailgate… but if you have one it has to be factory. ...... But as others have already said there is a yellow tailgate close by… ;)

  8. Just heard from the team. They have not made a run yet. To the best of my knowledge they were not waiting in line either.

This is fantastic, in the age of communication by the millisecond these lapses just serve to heighten our appreciation of what is going on. This reminds me of listening to the radio before TV, it lets our imaginations picture whats going on. Thanks guys, good stuff, as authentic as it can get.

Make sure to install and turn on the GoPro Camera, so we get a drivers view of the salt.

Even if they could it may change aerodynamics...maybe even positively but I like you look forward the updates and visuals on the changes. No matter how they did it a pass was granted.

    That’s correct.

I got faith that things feel good and Dave stays on it… I’m going with 136 to qualify for second backup record run, all in first time down the track.

Rookie course is shorter than the "short course"; records have been set on it by small displacement motorcycles. If he is thru that part the next run can be from the normal short course which is the 3 mile. When I left the salt there was a very few car waiting in line at it.

However, we got to the rookie course and the fire extinguisher bottle in the race truck malfunctioned and discharged. We went back to the pit, tested the release mech and it seems to be ok. Going to refill or replace the bottle now ....

I'm guessing 124.3. But I typed that just as Pete posted about the fire bottle, damn, I hope that doesn't screw things up.

Advertise brand and size. I'm sure some one has one. DJ SAFETY IS ON THE SALT in the sales area near the food. I'm sure he could help...
