  1. I haven't mowed my yard any at all this year. I put up temporary electric fence around stuff I wanted to not be eaten. And let the cows in the yard. they dont mow evenly but they keep down the jungle.

Old Wolf, you are spinning your wheels! Don’t you know that even though cows eat the grass... they fertilize at the same time! Kinda perpetual grass thing, ya know......

  6. Drove a 90 year old neighbor into town to get a hair cut- he loved the truck- liked the wing windows as he called them- said steering looked like Armstrong to him- we both had a blast-

  8. I recharged the air conditioning system in the primary O/T vehicle. No immediate problems, and it is working like a hot damn. A big success, considering that the system had been opened up and required purging and the whole enchilada.
Put some new rubber on my O/T hauler, and after a week I am noticing I have a bead leak on one of my tires. I am really choked, because I cleaned the rim myself, and have to look in the mirror to blame the responsible party. I could attempt to hammer the bead to see if I can make it seal, but I will probably break it apart and refinish the rim. In the longer term, that is the best solution.
I also did a bunch of research on the linkage setup I am going to use for my 9 inch rear end that I am building to replace the 12 bolt. I am going to be making two 3 link systems to replace the leaf springs on my truck and my son's 47 International.
    Back in action!

  9. Regarding mowing, It is so dry here, that I am going to have to wait for rain just to mow and trim. Otherwise, I'll just make a big dust cloud.

I put the front suspension back on my 40 Plymouth Sedan. So far it's going back together pretty well...no major problems so far. Now to decide what engine I want to run. IMG_20180810_160643424_LL.jpg

  11. Went to a estate auction just a few miles away . The folks grandson had murdered them!?. Bought a small truckload but nothing HAMB worthy. a couple of chainsaws, a handicap 4 wheeler and the carrier for it that attaches to a receiver hitch. a wide front end for a vintage tractor. a tractor radiator and a large hyd bottle jack.

No joke... up early this morning after a late night trying to get to the salt to watch Danny Thompsons back up run. My brother and I are flying down the salt on our shovels when I hear and feel this rumble. .I thought it was another bike..I looked over to my right to see Danny Thompson making his back up run. ...it was so cool seeing it next to us(but far away)...This place is soooo bad ass.

Got to the shop around 9 , Finished up the 350 roller motor and mounted it on the run stand . Fired right up and sounded sweet, My buddies all ribbed me and said I didn't do it right cause flames didn't shoot out of the carb like on TV:confused: My buddy Butch installed the vent windows and regulators in my 37, Thanks again Tag Man! After that we helped Daniel, the youngster in the shop drop his fresh 283 into his 64 c10. And last but not least we went over the 55 chevy 4dr my friend Bob just bought , one family car came with an assload of NOS parts including freaking NOS front fenders and hood! Still in the crate! It was a good day:D

[IMG]This may turn into a frame table, reversed that wheel so the tire doesn't rub. Rolled it down hill and around and into the back yard all by myself, sucker is heavy. Bob

  20. Did some cleaning on the new front axle for the 55. I need to find a pattern for and adapter to bolt the Blazer disk brake calipers I am presently using, to fit the 55 spindles. My son was trying to convert me from the TH400 to a 700R4, but I can't see giving up my overdrive. I have all I need to install a super T-10, and think if I change transmissions, that is the way I'll go. I can still use my Hone-O-Drive overdrive unit.
Got the excavator running today. It needed a new fuel pump and I had to bleed the complete fuel system, bitch of a job. I also changed all the filters and greased the machine. Start clearing the area for the garage foundation tomorrow.
Very content for the small victories. I had to quit because I was getting eaten alive by mosquitoes.

Managed to pinch two wires while bolting a generator back together. The ironic thing is when I need a wire to stay under a nut it takes three hands to hold it there.
