You need to spend more time in Missouri, then...especially the southern half!

Even where I am in the middle of the state (Jefferson City) is hilly as hell. Learning to drive a stick in this town is a true rite of passage!

  7. I had thought about that but the '36 really needs to get sold off. My plan is actually to get the Merc set up for towing duties. The BB, the #14, or the Leveler would all look pretty bitchin' getting dragged around by it me thinks!

Yeah that Merc...the Hamb transformer still can't believe that after all that stuff all over and around it and sitting it came out looking the way it did. That would be a great period hauler.

  14. I finally got the new fuel tank mounted this past weekend. Hard to get a decent pic. 486F467D-BB5C-408B-B9D5-F37606557783.jpeg

Then I loaded her up to take into town so I can drop her off at the upholstery shop this week. I am going to have a tonneau cover made to help keep the interior protected on its next few trips to the Drags and hill climb. It will be made to zip off in the middle so I can leave the passenger side on if I’m so inclined.

The new trailer pulled like a dream. I guess I’ll buy some ratchet straps. My buddies were freaking out cause I only had two chains and binders but that’s how I’ve always hauled everything? Oh well 4 corners is probably a good idea anyway. B040B647-46A7-46F0-B6C2-4C2B67D5EF29.jpeg

Did I miss that this is a rumble seat car? How cool!

Have you practiced trying to fill it yet?

  16. Yeah rumble seat! Fully upholstered too!

I put a couple gallons in it from a gas can. From the pump should be a breeze. I cocked the fill toward the rear a bit to make it easier to hit.

Lots of memories growing up in the rubble seat of a chopped 3 window. Always dig them

The fact that your rumble seat can still be used with your fuel tank (feet resting on it) is still awesome Mike! Tank setup came out great!

With my QCR going in mine, my 20 gallon tank will take up most of the space in my rumble area. Not an issue at all.

  19. Thanks Mike! Not much room back there but you can sit if you want it bad enough, ha!

I dropped her off with a couple of pictures at the upholstery shop today....

  21. The top picture is the style I'll be going for when I eventually get the phaeton to the upholstery stage. I personally like the driver cut out with the tonneau snapping across the whole bench rather than the split down the middle style.

  23. I do too but I really wanted to be able to zip it up for protection plus it has an original little cover back there that attaches to the seat and the original snaps so the wrap around would not work for this application. Lanny had a cover originally but unfortunately it's gone.

  24. You can kind of see what I’m talking about here. It has to skirt around the roll bar. 38A6E2D8-BD76-4778-ACA5-6482C3FB7A74.png

  25. Ah, I understand. Makes sense to work with what you have already.
(I have seen the wrap around style with a zippered insert for when you're not driving.)
