Picked up this really pristine 52 F1 this morning. Original flathead v8 with 4 speed. Owner says he has drove the truck within the last 10 years. Minimal rust on the body. [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

  2. Looks solid, doesn't even have all the extra holes in the doors for truckers mirrors! Stock motor, I see it has duals?

    You have a "5 Star" cab … that's a good thing.

I'd replace the hoses, belts & wiper blades( tires also?), change all the fluids(grease all the fittings & pack the wheel bearings)), check the brakes for wear(adjust any "play" out of the steering), Then: Just drive & enjoy that beautiful "survivor" until I figured out what I REALLY wanted to do with it! WOW, A REAL "KEEPER"!!!

Thanks, it’s a slick truck. Ya, first thing is out carburetor back on it, clean fuel system and replace the hoses. So how the old 239 sounds and runs.

I think the 5 Star cab had SS windshield trim, covered door panels, drivers door key and some extra fancy hood trim plus I’m sure other things I’m no expert.

It looks like a half ton. Didn't know they came with 4 speeds.
