T-boned, and the only visible damage is a broken axle? I don't see any other damage anywhere. The only way I can see that happening is if they took a hit directly to the front tire. Yet there's not even a dent in the hubcap, nor a scuff mark on the tire.

Been 19hours with no updates? I’ll assume they are elbow deep in fixing it and it’s been sorted?

NSRA wouldn't care about a roll back dropping a car at the hot repair area. It's been done before

  8. I’ve been trying to get CT on this thread to give an update. I’m sorry it hasn’t happened. I can only guess he’s busy. I hope we get an update soon. Thanks to everyone for their ideas and kind words.

Apparently he's been having trouble finding a dropped axle drilled for chevy spindles that's the correct width.

He's (Ct) got a axle coming this morning! Hopefully he'll be on the road later today.

I just had to use the repair shop at NSRA, talk about a class act. I had to completely replace steering shafts and steering knuckles. They work off donations and even had a spot cooler blowing while they did the work. It's a simple process, you sign a release and they get to work helping you get back on the road.

Also, I am back up and running, and willing to help with this crisis if I can be of any assistance.

Glad to hear the correct axle has been found. Yes the hot repair shop is a class act. I used them once in the late 90's. I had my coupe bright in on a roll back on Wednesday evening, I had broken a timing chain. We spent more time trying to gather up parts than actually doing the repair, but I drove the car off the fairgrounds Thursday evening. They are a lifesaver for sure.

Looks like a chrome axle that broke at the weld. I would suspect the axle was chrome plated and not further treated to prevent Hydrogen Embrittlement. If the axle was one that was made off shore, I would bet nothing was done except chrome.

That's what I was thinking. I also heard about this on a FB A site. Gary
