They never got around to scooting the rear wheels forward on that one...but yeah, Pandemonium!

I did get it rolling last night, but didn't post the pics I took.Took a bit longer to do the tin than I expected, but that's ok, my schedule has some padding in it.

It is a shame that you couldn't make the gas filler right in the center of the big circle on the trim.

The gas filler will be up front...so no, that wouldn't work. I did cut off the filler neck, and screwed it back in place, so I'll put a gas cap on it, in the stock location.

You're doing a great job, at a record pace no less. Keep going! Get the motor in so we can hear it come to life!

it'll be a little while till the motor's in...still waiting on some big parts for it.

I cut some doors up today. The new fiberglass doors are for race cars, with fixed windows. I need the windows to go up and down, so I had to cut off the flange at the top. I figured the easiest way to recreate the correct contour at the top of the door, for the window felts and vent window to attach to, was to cut off the originals off the steel door, and bond them in place. So that's what I'm going to do. Wish me luck.

Forget air, Milwaukee's new 12V rivet gun is great. Lightweight no cords, no hoses, put in a battery start riveting.

  23. Is that traditional ? :D I had a project years ago that had over 200 stainless rivets, that's when I went to air. Way before theses new fangled battery thingy's !

most of these rivets are aluminum, except on the firewall, and those are small. I don't have any problem with it. I put over a thousand rivets into the Airstream trailer a couple years ago, too, all by hand.

That adhesive is some tough stuff. No reason it shouldn't on that area of the vehicle.
