heres the idea. im going to paint an indian larry dished tank. i want the main tank a flakey pearl white with flakey blue in the "dishes" with a white lace pattern over it . my question is how do i get the flake all even and what not doing layers like that in the dish. spray whole tank white? mask off dish? spray blue? then a coat or 2 of clear with blue flake? then lay the lace. spray the white? then pearl flake? then clear the whole tank a shit load? is this right or no?

Do a search for the square bird not a bike but there is a thread here that was informative if I remember right.

getting the flake even takes a lot of:

    practice

    patience

    metaflake(don't be shy with this)

    clearcoat

    and wetsanding.

Use super 77 spray glue to get the lace to stay put. and spray it quick.
