Hot Rods New to me 36 tudor slantback, suggestions?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by cajunfirehawk, Jul 27, 2018.

  1. I will be taking ownership (was for-sale in the classified on here) soon of the car and all of the take off parts that went with it when the previous owner acquired it since the previous owner went rat rod with it and I think my my plans are just to hang the fenders, running boards, hood and most of the other outside parts back on it. But then again, ratrod appeals too but I don't plan on a restoration or making a show car, I want a neat, old, mostly original 36 w/flathead, interior will likely stay gutted, no radio, maybe a nice set of wheels to set it off. It came w/Wide 5's but has been converted to modern 5 lug. We own a few other "toys" in our garage and I am not looking for another garage queen to wax and polish every time it moves out of the stable. Keeping this simple and mostly old school, thoughts or suggestions?

I’d bolt the fenders back on, prime the bare metal, ditch the ugly wheels for some steelies and drive it.

    Change as wanted/needed

Anything built after 1934 needs fenders. Put them back on, better wheels/tires, and have fun.

36 2dr slantback is a sweet body style..fenders for sure.

It looks to be in above average condition for project cars, too
