Stumpy..yep I think that was the car, the brothers who had it were known as Frod nuts in the area, don't suppose you remember which issue of Custom Rodder, I've got them all........lol.....and LB, thanks for the pics & info........if ever I win lotto I'll order a couple of new SOHCs........lol..........andyd

    Above post 2017 swap meet area of CHRR 47/48 Ford coupe , Single Overhead Cam 427, correct? Anyone got anymore Info on this car?

    Many [30?] years ago I saw an ad in a magazine for external belt drive for the SOHC 427..Was a picture, looked pretty neat and tidy..I don't remember who was manufacturing the drive nor have I ever seen any pics outside of the ad; in cars, etc...

    Yes, toothed belt..I think it was in the first 10 or so yrs of Super Fords magazine..

    A friend of mine ( Larry Kalsch) built a belt drive, 2" Gilmer, around 1975. He ran this '27 in B/SR, and C/A. It worked well, and he did several sets for customers. If you look closely, you can see the belt. 2012-11-12 231225.jpg
