I agree. I loved mine and have always regretted selling it.

Amazingly enough, I know where this is. This is Hamburg Germany, my home away from home. I spent several years living there. The church tower in the distant background is the Nikolai church. The building in the back, center right is the Haus der Seefahrt (House of Ocean travel) The bridge in the foreground is probably in the area of the Neiderbaumbrucke. This is the closest google will get me. https://goo.gl/maps/iLqBnFihsuJ2

With the way the skyline looks, I am guessing this is prior to 1943. The British and the Americans put the hurt on Hamburg during the war years, especially with Operation Gomorrah..

I love the shots of the assembly plants and especially the body drops. These had to be seen to be appreciated. I worked on a Pontiac Oldsmobile line in the sixties. We built 62 cars an hour. In less than sixty seconds a car body would drop out of that hole, be aligned into place, fastened down and the clamps returned to the second floor and attached to the next car. IMPRESSIVE!!!

  22. ^^^ I know, for my high school career day field trip in 1962, we visited the GM plant in Van Nuys, Ca. and watched a Chevrolet go from frame to out the door in what seemed like an hour. ( could be wrong on that time frame but what did I know, I was just a kid.) Jim OKC
