If youse guys are really dedicated to traditional, you would be a subscriber to Hot Rod Deluxe magazine. 100% Retro. These guys get it and how! No, I don't work there but I can't wait for the next issue. Never been a bad one, you will see.

Their website shows a Studebaker Lark. No thanks, I will stick with traditional hotrods

  3. No offense but I didn't get a memo from the front office saying I had to subscribe to Hot Rod DeLuxe to be dedicated traditionalist,oh well. HRP

It's a good magazine, better than most. The best? Maybe. Good mix of feature cars
and history, and it doesn't kill you with advertising. Studebaker Larks have been
pictured on the H.A.M.B. so no problem there. I just gave about six years worth to
an automotive mentoring group in Chicago to let the students share in the magazine.

  6. Glad you're not pushing 'Ol skool rods.
I read HRD, lots of good things in it.

  9. About the only thing I'm dedicated to is breathing air, I find it's a hard habit to break. It's the one traditional thing I do.

  10. I like Hot Rod Deluxe. Comes in the mail, I read it, and throw in the growing pile with the others. :)

Local shop just finished a killer Lark with high HP fuel injected Studebaker engine, killer black paint, 18 inch 5 spoke wheels and tan leather interior. Not my style but there's something for everyone.

Good magazine, it is on the shelf once in a while at the grocery store. The days of walking into Barns & Noble and picking up 3-4 magazines without even looking at them first is long over. Bob

What's wrong with Ol Skool Rodz? They printed an article about me and my shop.

Hot Rod Deluxe and Rodders Journal are the only thing worth looking at these days. I just bought the new one at the grocery store. probably read it cover to cover next Saturday morning.

Personally , that is why I like the hamb better then mags. Here there is always tech ?s and threads. I cannot get my fill of tech and ideas. Mags just seem skimpy in the tech department for me .:(

Somebody put on the Hamb they had a special price a while back so I subscribed. Never got an issue tried to contact the Co. that took the money. No luck and no answers to emails. So I chalked another one up to experience.

  29. I have a subscription. The history is good, the technical details are a bit lacking. That’s why we have the HAMB. I like flipping pages, I like real paper. I must be old.

  30. To be honest, I haven't opened a copy in a couple of years. When I did read it, there were a lot of rat rods. Use of the letter ''Z'' in place of ''S'' is irritating. The writers were trying just a little too hard to push the ''image''.
No cut on you at all. Congrats on getting ink, that's a dream most never realize. Please post a pic of the article.
