Sorry Denny, but that's actually an Oregon plate if you zoom in on the photo.

 

Cripes, I thought that was an old black and yellow Cali plate.
My usual response would be "the sun was in my eyes", guess that won't work this time.

 

I had to get a better look when I noticed that it didn't have the usual three letter and three number format of a CA black plate.

 

Looks like Don Branson in the Wynn's sprinter in 1965. #1 because he had won the 1964 championship.

 

Affirmative or should I say "DOH".
