Hot Rods It runs! 1938 Ford truck

    After about 15 months it runs and drives. 1938 Ford with a 5.0 punched out to 347, BW T5 five speed and a Ford 8.8 rear with disc brakes all the way around. video

    Nice! Makes me jealous. I was just out in the shop staring at my 38 and thinking "man, where do I start". Lol. Great job man, really.

    Well, the plan was to build a set of regular headers, but I quickly found that I suck at it! So I bought a lake header kit from speedway so I could drive it. I bought a 20” glass pack, cut it in half, and stuffed half inside each lake pipe. My plan is still to build a set of headers over the winter.

    This is what it looked like when I bought it. I ended up using the cab that came with since the original cad was too rusty.

    Cool man, it’s got great proportions. Maybe add some photos to your original post and people will be less quick to post cat photos lol
