Thanks for the pictures of my 32 sedan. Great show and even better nostalgic drag racing. I've never seen so many gassers at one event !!!

 

A few more from Saturday.

 

This is the 17th year it's one of the best events in our area you can pre register for next year on Saturday for only $20 which includes a Friday night barbcue when I left this evening they already had 1,500 pre registered for next year.

 

Car doctor , I really liked your 32 sedan ! I would’nt change a thing just drive it , very nice car .

 

So who won the Grand Prize ? Anyone know ?

 

A few more from today.

 

I plan on just doing that. I have a 40 Willy's pick-up that I want to finish first so the sedan will stay as is for now. It's a fun car to ride around in!!!

 

This car was raced on the drag strips in northern Ohio in 1962 by Don holt with an injected small block chevy. I talked to the current owner Al Satava who used to race with him back then. I sure do like the 1962 version. this is what it looks like today.

This 16 year old kid was getting ready to make his first ever pass down the drag strip in his dads 36 three window. I would be grinning to good times for sure.

 

Super shots from what looks to be a very cool show. Always wanted to attend this show I heard it was canceled after last year! That's what ya get for listening to car show rumors! Joe

 

Joe come on out next year im sure you'll enjoy it . Three our four years ago one of the big time car show promoters took over the event they ran it into the ground with there over pricing and less bang for your buck when people didn't come they decided to move on . Thank goodness the track owner took the event back and its. getting better every year . That may be where the rumor came from. I know numbers don't mean shit but they had over 2,200 cars this year not including all the nostalgia drag cars.

Next years event is July 12-13-14 come on out its always a good time.

 

If I might be allowed by the moderators, I'd like to comment that I really do like the white 33 Ford in the first picture. All my every day cars have been white since getting my 57 210 hardtop in 1962.

 

The 33 is actually sliver and extremely nice.
