  3. { HAMB FRIENDLY ? }I've driven a Hot Rod soon after, I got my drivers permit. In the 80's my 29 coupe was our second everyday driver. I even remember putting snow tires on it in the winter! Lol But now if I going anywhere, and it's just me. I always drive a Hot Rod.{ weather permitting } I'm not the diehard I was. If I got's to buy gas, it's better to be putting it in a Hot Rod! I also added A/C so the wife will go along. Then we needed more room, so added our Nomad to take the grandkids along too.;) 322.jpg 010.jpg We know it's always more fun to drive a HOT ROD!

  4. Any time any where!!! I have been chosen off by a few ringy-dingy rice burners at stoplights but no legit stockers yet. Too busy ROFL at the front-wheel drive minis with whale-tail rear spoilers. Actually, I am a coward. Professional pit-crew material, no way would I get behind the wheel of a real fire breathing dragster.

it got deleted because you posted a picture of a 79 ford truck on a forum with a strict 1965 cut off..... just because this thread is about daily drivers that is not an excuse to post off topic vehicles

I started buying or building myself cars in the late 1950s,never ever owned a "NEW"car or one less than already 10 years old by the time I got! But my daily dose not fit,it's 2005 Dodge Magnum,my 18th wagon of many brands. My weekender hotrod however I built in 1959,so that fits.

I take the New York Subway - built in 1904. Does that count?

  8. Not HAMB friendly, but.......
It has the penultimate model name made by Pontiac.
It has a "Chevy engine" new enough to be measured in liters instead of cubic inches.
It has IRS like the sporty cars. Make that IRS/LSD.
It was considered top of the pig pile for its day.
    It's was manufactured in Australia.
It has its own internet forum with its own short list of "friendly" vehicles.
It gets lots of looks, comments and silly questions when I'm filling it up at the Stop-N-Go.
When my HAMB friendly car is streetable, they will switch roles and the Pontiac will be my Sunday car.

I used to drive my OT 70 chevy short box step side with the 500 caddy engine year around. I am doing a 65 short box step side for daily summer use with a 348 and a 5 speed and maybe driveable this fall. So the answer is NO.

My daily driver Plymouth is a year too new to make the cut off. I'm working on a HAMB friendly driver now though.

    Alas no.

All I can say is that a whopping great power transistor in the ignition system is the sum total of the electronics in it.

Call me names if you want but my 1957 Ford Fairlane 500 with original drivetrain is in the garage. I refuse to put air conditioning in it but with the temps running 109-112 daily I'll just work on it for a while in the cool garage. The vinyl seats stick to my ass. :) 20171023_110326.jpg

My winter daily is not sadly, but my summer daily sure is. 59 F100, in need of a bath I’m afraid.

Not currently. I daily'd a 63 Corvair for a few years, 55 3100 also, 64 Camino too. Sold the Corvair and truck when the fleet got too big, Camino is currently off the road in need of some work but has other O/T stuff ahead of it in priority.
