Rikster posted this earlier this week..... Shoebox that Donn Lowe restyled. With the help of Al Peirish we now know that Donn Lowe indeed did the body work on this really fine 4-door Custom Convertible. The car left Donn's shop with all the body work done finished in light blue primer in 1989-90 and went to the owner in Orient, Oregon. Soon after that the owner moved to Illinois, and the owner passed, and the car sat ...until it was bought by a new owner around 4 years ago. I'm not sure when these photos were taken. But I sure hope that whoever owns this car now will show it around a lot from now on. This more side view shows the cars fantastic lines. Beautiful shaped padded top... and a four door convertible with modified windshield frame and vent windows... Very nice (thanks Al for the info.)

Profile reminds me a lot of the Frazer Manhattan, although I think it works even better on this convertible Shoe. I'm curious to know how the B "pillar" windows work on here.

I agree it does look better on the shoebox than on the Frazer. I hadn't seen it done before thanks for posting the pics....... I'm hoping we will see a lot more pictures of the shoebox.

It could be a highly customized Caddy built to look just like a Chevy..... but prolly not! LoL!

    Nice cars tho!

Would you believe I saw this car at the Goodguys event in Des Moines last week. He has owned the car for 50 years. He now lives in Texas. He couldn`t believe I rembered when it was white wires and no with no scallopes. Scan0671.jpg Scan0672.jpg

Jerry Titus's green Merc before he started Kustom Kemps. The same stance and profile I am going for in my Merc. Mine will be running big and little vintage torqe thrust wheels and I can't bring myself to radius my cherry quarters. Otherwise that's the plan. Larry
