What do you think guys, add trim rings or not. See a lot off cars with them. Thanks for your replies.

I'd say no. But if it was mine I'd probably try some for a different look that's quick and easy.

Great looking car. How about the other direction - lets see a pic without the caps.

Toss-up, but leaning in the "no" direction.

I say no, if you do try them, you have to keep them, it will scratch the paint. Although in themoose's photoshop it doesn't look bad. You just need to be willing to commit if you put them on the car.

    Hey R,
The Moose did a great job of adding those trim...beauty rings. It made the car a complete cruiser/ hot rod. The look without the rings is more of a hot rod/drag racer or those "trog" style old coupes. Of course, the choice is always yours.

When I owned my first 40 Ford Sedan Delivery, it came with black rims and small hubcaps. It looked very fast. But, I decided to go with those beauty/trim rings added to the small hubcaps. It made the sedan delivery very cool looking.

I am in the beauty trim ring camp on this one... Your coupe is very nice looking either way, but the "rings have it..." YRMV

  20. I was going to say leave it as is but leave it to the Moose to photoshop it and completely change my mind,it looks good with them.

I went through the trim rings/no trim rings thing when we were finishing up the Ranch Wagon and opted to skip them but had I seen them photoshopped I might have reconsidered.

I do have trim rings on the old Deuce beater. HRP

Those are nice looking rings in the photoshop, thin, not gaudy like a ralley wheel ring.

I like trim rings but I don't think they suit this car. Try painting the wheels red, cream or apple green.

  29. I ran baby moons and trim rings on an O/T car back in the 60's. ........ Because I was dirt poor, not because I had other choices. :p
I see you're getting the usual votes on both sides of the ballot. Put me in the middle; I like it both ways. In this case there's no wrong answer. Just pick one that you like.

Did I happen to mention 60's!! style?

I've got 3 deuces with black steelies and no trim rings and we just finished a 5 window and it has red steelies with trim rings. I like them both ways. Once you install the trim rings they are there to stay like them or not!
