  3. 20131222_083832_1.jpg Next in line. I bought this one in '93, sold it, and bought it back just a few years ago. All the parts are inside and accounted for.

    Hey Roger,

When you made the post above, did you intend to include a shot of the rear ends?

Both photos of the fronts appear to be the same photo.

And if you still have your Studebaker, maybe we should start a club called the STUD BOYS.

Looks like a fun project. What are your plans? Any idea where a guy can find a left tail light?

  10. Hey Al, plans are mainly drivetrain and braking upgrades, otherwise leaving it pretty much stock inside and out. I'm leaning towards 500ci/th400. The rear end has already been swapped out to a GM truck 12 bolt which keeps the 5x5 wheel bolt pattern.

As far as tail lights go, the lenses are readily available as reproduction items but the actual housing is gonna either be an ebay item or you can purchase one from one of the Cadillac parts suppliers. Check out Hemmings Motor News for some leads. A few that come to mind which are somewhat "local" to me are Honest Johns Caddy Corner, Arnolds Classic Cars & Parts, and Larry Lawrence Enterprises. Ebay could be your cheapest route though.

Yeah, it's the housing I need & they are rare. But I will keep looking.
I run a 500 + TH 400 in my 51 which is otherwise stock. a real sleeper. Rebuilt it myself with parts & advise from MTS. Marty & John are kings of the 500.

How about a re-bodied 74 Sedan Deville? EVERYTHING from 74 retained, just the tin changed. A real long distance cruiser.

Somebody, please scratch this off an almost impeccable, long living thread! ... no offence, but this doesn’t belong here.

Here's the latest "look" at my project-a 1948 Cadillac Sedanet. Still have a ways to go but it's getting closer everyday...!!!
