I been around here since the beginning of time. I've encountered lots of people in my travels. I traveled everywhere. Some people were good people and some ended up getting punched. I met Bob for the first time in Bonneville during Speedweek. I used to go out there about every year and then every other year. The reason why I am making this post is that Bob was one of the guys who reached out to me when I was down the wrong path. He said some stuff to me that really struck a note... I usually go incognito to events and just try to blend in... Bob was all over the country at different times of the year. Bob was one of those guys like Jay Carnine (C9) a guy who was full of wisdom. I don't know what I'm trying to say... Rest Easy Pal. Thanks for the words. xoxoxo -germ
Good words, Germ. Bob's probably smiling at them right now. I imaging anyone that met Bob is bummed at his passing - he was just that kind of guy...........
Well said Germ, Bob was a great guy, I was lucky enough to met him in the States a couple times and also when he came over to Australia with his wife. RIP Mate.
I've known Bob for 20 years, though I never got the opportunity to meet with him in Person. I first encountered him circa 98 on this forum when my handle was "Phantom." I was a pretty dumb kid. I got in over my head and as Germ said started marching down the wrong path. He's the only one that reached out to me and laid out what I was doing wrong, what I was doing right, and how to unf**k myself. He had no obligation to do that. He was an unintentional mentor. He wasn't even trying to be, he just wanted to steer this lifestyle in the right direction and wasn't afraid to take the reigns to make it happen. We all have to leave this Earth at some point. I hope that all of us have taken a page from his book and fear not a little brotherly love for one another. RIP Bob K
Just an all around great guy to know, always fun to talk with easy to find in a group photo. R.I.P. my friend.
BbK could teach Waldo a thing or two... where’s Wa- oh right there . I’m in that photo, can’t remember the event. Well said germ.
Yup, Bob always said what was on his mind whether you liked it or not. We had some great times together and I miss him.
