Good place to bring this up? Who has details or knowledge about the tire controversy in SS/A, SS/AA in the 64 season? I lost a book to a flood, but in there was a story of how MOPAR decided to boycott one of the sanctioning bodies due to a "HEMI only" tire rule. 7" was the limit even though they could fit 10" without modifying the sheet metal. It went on to say that there was a SS match race in Detroit where the tire rule was waived and MOPARs finished 1-4. Please help me clear the cobwebs from my memory on that topic. Seems like some serious early race knowledge here.

Dr. Google indicates only 35 x GT350R's were produced out of a total of 562 x GT350s in 1965. The one in the link was a South American export and now back in USA. This link indicates 34 were produced and another, 36. Either way, very low production numbers with allegedly only 25 x GT350Rs existing today. #106 only sold for $990K :eek:

There are some rare pieces of metal. Three projects. All lightweights. Damn, that’s cool.

Yes!!! Finally. Thank you so much troublemaker. I have been searching for years for a photo. The owner told me to take my best guess on the logos, so I based it off the Tbolt they raced. We will definitely change it back to how it should be now. Excellent!!! By the way, the Moyer comet is going to make it to Carlisle if I have to work day and night!

Well. the Afx comet made it to Carlisle. It was pretty cool my first time being there, but kind of a bummer at the amount of new cars there.
I have pictures from the event if anyone is interested, they are just on my other camera. F3145911-40BE-4419-AC7D-F8E585FAC285.jpeg 965FDE93-BFAC-4896-AD0A-9F0B15ABB2FA.jpeg
