I heard that a 904/A500 would work with a 392 using the small late model starter and some grinding on the block. Has anyone else done this?

  5. THANK YOU. I saw that post get answered, came back to the hamb and saw the question with no answer and been wondering why the answer had been removed. One of a ton of the same question threads, duh, silly me.

  6. I guess at this point you should just bolt it up and start grinding. That is what you want to do, Right? Take photos so you can show us how little you had to grind please.

Looks like he has never figured out how to find his old posts so he just starts new ones again. I always thought that early Hemi to later Torqueflite stuff was pretty cut and dried as to what worked and what didn't.
73RR how many times have you answered that same question over the time you have been on the HAMB? https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/best-trans-for-392.642228/
Now I need to go look at that Torqueflite I have stashed to go behind my Desoto 330 to see if it works or won't work.
