Well no TNT for me tomorrow as my starter is dead with no chance of revival so I ordered a new one and it won't be here till next week I really can't understand why the local parts store doesn't have one in stock for a 392 hemi I thought everyone had one of these whales lmao

On a lighter note, got my clutch/brake pedal issues sorted for (hopefully) the final time, got all that nightmare re-installed,and the column and dash back in the car.
    IMG_1811.JPG
Now we just need to get the new pressure plate installed:
    IMG_1812.JPG
And the new oil pan on:
    IMG_1813.JPG
Then we can drop the motor back in,and have some fun!I wanted to use our old fabricated pan that we modified to fit,but it just would not stop leaking,so I picked up this new one with nice thick rails on it.Hope it solves the problem.

It should be fine,James. The pedal support/bearing/giant “murder spring” under the dash fiasco was 100 times worse than pulling a motor....They basically assembled the whole dang car around that pedal support.I really don’t want to do another one of those.Ever.

    Jeff:
I’ve got a super rare N.O.S. Rotunda tach like they used on the A/FX Fords and Mercs is 64/65,and a Sun That has all its guts replaced with high quality modern stuff by Williamsons a few years back, but as fast as this little motor swings that needle around,I’m leaving Big Ben dangling on the column til I get a little more comfortable driving it.
I think your mouth may be writing some cheques your ass ain’t gonna be able to cash....

Just wait your turn, and you can get “blinkered” too.....Just like this poor sap did.
This was Meltdown 2014,when we still had the low compression street motor and street gears...

Jeff scott just wants to hide the speedo cause he is scared to see how slooooowww that thing is I know that's why I didn't bother with putting one in my digger as they don't make one that reads that slow lmao. And dammit scott quit showing off my workshop I don't want everyone to know I built my dragster in the driveway with candles for lighting lmao plus your cluttering up my yard with that late model crap lol. But I do want everyone to know that scott depends on a chevy to get him from point a to b without trouble unlike his ford that's always broke lmfao

Anyhoo...Today my foreman started really cracking the whip on production.
He’s shown here, very proud of himself for badgering me to get the motor pulled in record time:
    IMG_1826.JPG
After he had a cookie and a story,he retired for the evening, and I went back out, removed the old disc and pressure plate, and put the engine on the stand so I can swap out the pan in the morning, reinstall the new clutch, and under close supervision by the foreman, swing the motor back into the car.
Here’s the disaster that is my garage after the day’s festivities:
