Projects An inexpensive and quick build, right!!

So after a trip to GNRS 2017 with my lil son n daughter, the lil girl asked for us to build a T bucket. Not my first, second or 5th choice of car to build. But hey, she was 9 and if that helped create a bond, I’m in.

A year later I found a candidate body and frame. I shared with her, this is for us to build, she would have to help and go Sunday school.

She hasn’t held up her end of the bargain, so it’s my build now. I had s goal to drive it to the LA Roadster Show last weekend. Didnt happen.

Here are done pics of the body I bought. The frame I have made ( scratched the red iron channel frame I bought)

Should be road worthy in a week or two, less paint

So I thought between the spare parts I had collected over the years, I could buy a few bolt on parts and the build would be quick. But it didn’t work out that way.

Thats a cool jigger, love your work, I had started dragging together a pile of that was to have a similar style some years back, I moved & it got moved to the back of the line... looking forward to this coming together.!

 

It looks great! Cool little car. I thought the same thing about using all my left over parts for my 29 sport coupe project....had to order so much stuff too....

Front brake lines look like braided stainless, but black. Nice. Are they readily available?

Those details aren't quick in case viewers don't know. I love it!!

I see why you did it the way you did- but I'd rethink those rear wishbones and mounts. Maybe some link off the top of the diff to the rear crossmember?

 

It's like the sweetener some folks use in their coffee, Sweet & Low. HRP

 

The brake lines are made by a company named Fragola. I’m sure you can order online. I picked them up at a local sprint car parts supplier

Yeah I'm learning about bolt on parts not being quicker myself. In fact on my A frame I'm finding words like "universal brackets" actually mean "not even close"

Very nice! I'm working on a similar car myself right now, (and have been forever!). I'm at the decide the paint color by next weekend point. Keep posting. It's looking sweet!

That wire loom reminds me of a Navy Aviation loom........in both neatness and appearance.

 

A few quick updates photos. Simply bored and frustrated at the same time right now. Hoping to be road worthy in the next week. I’m now shooting for a couple nights at Hot August nights, then make Bonneville for Sunday

Did the first road test yesterday. I’m not sure if everything was great or not,,, because of the big Ol’ grin I had the whole time.

A few tweaks to tonight. Then we can start the the upholstery. So far in target to leave for Bonneville on Thursday night.
