That's a great photo of my sedan from the UK's 2017 Hayride, although it makes the paint look lighter than it really is!

As noted, my sedan is up for grabs, details at www.1932hotrod.co.uk

Good to hear from you, Tom!
Dang, those French flatheads are not cheap. Picture below (from a military surplus) by hot rodder FXB is from the '90s, I think. These engines were more common then & perfectly crated by the army.
Hope you're having fun with the '32.
(Oh, and thanks for mailing the California license plate. I still have one; so, I will mail the other one to Dominique, who built the car back in the day. Say "Hi" to Mary.)

  23. Two at that auction Bob Miller. Auction is in Belgium next weekend. With fenders is a B 4 cyl with a thin front axle. The one without fenders has a "heavy" axle so is probably a V8.
The auction is at collindubocage.com and then go to Automobiles du collection MAHY. Total of 104 barnfinds, also two 1935 Ford Tudors and a few more vintage american cars. Whole damn auction site is in French, i think i figured out that the commision on a sale is 25 %.
Sure seems a lot of fees at 25%. Plenty of hotrodders in Belgium and France, wonder who the lucky new owners will be.

  26. Auction site had quite a few pics mixed up .So in the mean time by going back and forth between lots i figured out that both these beauties above are 4 cylinders. Anyhow the auction is running right now at this time so i wonder who the highest bidder is and which country they will go to.

  28. No, i did,nt bid. I had plans to make the 250 KM trip to the chatteau where the auction was and register on the Saturday morning. I exchanged quite a few emails in English with one of the auction reps because there was no real info in English on their website. So in the last week i brushed up on some French terms through google so as to make some educated bids as the desired cars would come up. Then reality started to come into it. Get up early, get home late, it,s pretty hot this weekend at 30 C ( mid 90s F ) Shity traffic through Antwerp or Brussels, Probably loose out on the Deuce,s, model A,s and '35 Ford Tudors due to whacky telephone bids. Then end up buying something else just for the hell of it. Then ofcourse going back home to rent a trailer and making the same trip again, midweek , maybe even twice for two cars. There were some nice projects though. Old man Mahy must have had a lot of fun in his heyday.
