    Man, this looks fun. Watching.

  2. Nice! This is definitely one of the cooler projects I've seen in a long time. Love the fab work you are doing. Good luck and have fun!

With the Warford having a proper neutral and whether it's rolling in the driveway or running down the street.I need a way to make sure I can properly stop. Disc brakes seem like a simple solution. Please don't fear, this will be the only non-traditional T part on it. Let's get to it.........

  4. In the previous post you can see that I trued up the hub. Cut some aluminum round stock. Lipped it for the rotor to ride/seat and finally tapped the aluminum for the bolts to hold the rotor. In the next set of pictures you can see that the aluminum round stocks ID was increased to match that of the hub. Tapped the aluminum again for the lug studs. The studs come in through the inside holding the hub to the aluminum.

got to see how this ends!

  8. With the hubs finished, time to make caliper mounts.

  9. In the previous post you can see that the caliper had to be clearanced a bit and each bracket is side specific (in the pictures you can see two dimples in the aluminum caliper bracket). Pressed in some new bushings, hone to fit, and time for a mock up. While at it, lets throw in a dead perch. 20170723_103153.jpg 20170723_103202.jpg 20170723_151536.jpg 20170723_151550.jpg 20170730_163601.jpg

    Crafty. I'm diggin it!

  11. Do the steering arms clear everything?

  12. Yes they do. More coming up on that later.

  13. No real build/clean up pictures of the Warford. However I took two and created a good one. The shift knob was sourced off of here. This is how the chassis sits...............

  14. With those cool disc brakes I strongly advise beefing up the front wishbone. I know a couple of T guys that wished they did!

I have zero experience with this combination but I am more concerned about those wheel spokes living with the grip from the disc brakes.
    Nice work Chris.

  18. No need to be sorry. I haven't performed all of this on my own. I have great friends helping!

  19. My disc brakes are a copy of my friends on his 26 T. He has many many miles on this set up. A book just came out about his T. 51WXUzTO3UL__SX258_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg

Amazing creativity and workmanship! You certainly know of the meaning of doing things right. Also, the timeline is incredibly impressive-you have accomplished more in a couple of months then most people accomplish in a couple of years. Having built at least a few T speedsters, I am extremely impressed. Well done.

The last picture is of a 26/27 clutch drum turned down to fit my 25 and older set up. This drums has the updated availability to replace the lugs that the clutches ride on.

  23. There were none on that engine. The one I am building will have dippers.

  27. "Performance" T engine builders used Chevy 4 dippers on T rods back in the day. You have to drill a hole in the rod cap.

  28. Time for a little procedure called "aligning the transmission". True the end of the crank and transmission input shaft. Put a center dowel in. Stuck the together and checked for proper alignment.

  29. Crank then laid into the block, flywheel added and check many, many, many times for proper alignment.
