After studying Scott's posting habits over the past few years I think I have found a pattern. I believe he has a "tell" if you will. I wish I would have made plans to be in bowling green. What a good time. Used to go to hrr when my buddy's were running the fuel car. Gonna be extra hot this weekend. 98 here in Illinois. I'm sure hotter there. And the thick air don't move much in that river bottom. Much rather be sweatin my ass off there than here at home. Good luck salty. Please post video

 

Second thing to learn is air test the trans before reinstalling valvebody!

Salty has the shaker moving in the hot air. It keeps going faster and faster.

 

Not looking good for the Falcon. This afternoon while getting it out any running it I managed to run a rod though the oil pan! Wasn't beating on it ,running at around 5000 rpm and it wasn't shifting into high, then "BANG" that was it. All I can say was I'm glad it happened while tuning and not at the strip.

 

Hope to get there with a car one day, but to many irons in the fire and the Corps are gonna be in the way for awhile.

 

Salty grabbed a runner up finish at bowling green.

 

Catastrophic oil pan failure sucks no matter what make of pan it is. Temporarily replace with a stocker for this Meltdown and build a better one over winter for next year?? hint, hint

 

Not sure if I want to take the pan off to find what is in there.

 

Well the Salt Shaker made it home safe.
I was trying for a good set of baseline runs but the car just keeps going faster.
Hope it settles down so I can start tuning on it.
And no trip is not complete without some good ol trailer tire problems.

Just for a lame excuse, the sun was just about on top of the tree on that run.
There was a cloud that was just about to cover the sun but I was on meltdown already and I didn't want to burn down Tim to wait on the cloud.
