Who owned the "Worlds Fastest Chevy" digger in the background - with the square bar roll cage?

Actually it is Lawrence Brocchini and Don Argee. Don was still running a fuel roadster as late as 1995. As far as I can find out the pictured car may have run as quick as 9.91 at 155 mph in later form with a blown Chrysler. In the mid 60's Argee was driving for Fred Sorenson and the Burkholder Brothers before going back to his own car in around 1990 in the early days of the VRA series.

I can't tell you much about this one apart from the fact that it was probably the least well remembered of the drag race cars known as the Tijuana Taxi. Best remembered is probably the Gapp and Roush 4 door Maverick although Pete Bergen and Wayne Burrows also had a lot of success over the years with their 56 Corvette running under the same name.

This car is the Vic Edelbrock Sr. street and lakes roadster. Vic sold it to Eddie Bosio and Bosio redid it as shown, it was the AMBR winner one year.
Vic Jr. eventually bought it back and had it restored to its former glory.
Somehow I overlooked this thread, got a lot of catching up to do, great stuff here.

Could you at least wait a month or so before reposting? This one was up just two weeks ago.
