picked up this 1955 Desoto fireflite sportsman 2 door hardtop a few months ago, had been stored for many years in primer, the hemi was gone(I bought and sold it 3 years ago) he wouldn't sell me the car back then, it has a Chrysler 413 in it now, going after the 50 cruiser look, putting in interior from a Chrysler imperial, any other Desoto cruiser's out there?
The mid-50s to 1960 DeSotos are some of the best looking cars in my opinion. I shopped for one for quite a while and then finally gave up. Sent from my A520L using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

Sold my '55 Desoto Fireflight to my best bud about six years ago to help with a down payment on a house. The pic is from Ocean City Cruisin' about a month ago. My '50 Dodge is next to it. To me it's still in the family!
I love it! Have you chosen the colors? The leather seats look great, as does the two-tone, so I'm guessing blue/white for the paint? Dark/light or light/dark...either would look good. EDIT: 3 tone?
Hamb'r VonDust built a chopped '55 Desoto a while back. First picture is with an unidentified '59 Desoto that has a Plymouth or Dodge roof on it.
If anyone is interested in a 48 convert and/or a 48 4-door sedan, PM me. A good friend has both for sale. gatz
