I have an aftermarket horn relay, and on it it has 3 terminals labled H B S.
H I take to be HORN. What is the B and the S?

Sorry nothing helpful. The last horn and relay I bought came with instructions. I put them up somewhere incase I had to re-wire. I'll look for them when I get home and see if it helps any.

Sorry the relay I have has 4 connections, and thier numbered 30-85-86-87. The H-horn, B-battery, and S- switch sounds the best to me.

The H terminal goes to the horn, the B terminal is 12 volts (or 6 maybe) from the battery hot all of the time, and the S goes to your horn button. The horn button should actually be a ground circuit,so if you ground the S terminal with the horn and battery wires hooked up the horn should blow.

Here is a diagram I found on another site. If you just have for terminals you probably don't have 87a, the normally closed circuit. Good Luck.

    30. B+ supply
    85. ground (connect to horn button wire if it grounds when pressed)
86 12 v switched (you can connect this to 30)
    87 12v out (to horn)

if the horn button completes a circuit & sends power down the column, connect the 85 pin to ground & the hot horn wire out of the column goes to 86

    I only have three terminals labled H , B , and S.

I will hook the horn to H and ground, B to Battery HOT all the time, and S to switch GROUND.
