History Old Hot Rod Bantam Pickup Found - From Charlotte, NC

    Thanks for the kind words. The front has the standard "frame" from the Bugeye, and then the completely welded the Bantam cab onto the lower portion of the Bugeye tub. I'll try to get some pictures of the cab at some point. The front of the tub is welded to the hood sides, which are actually made out of 16(?) gauge steel. Pretty well built little buggy.

    The rear still has the 1/4 elliptical springs. I actually just swapped in some new ones a month or two ago. Unfortunately the original 15 spring packs aren't available, only 10 spring "rally" springs. Based on what I read on Bugeye forums, they jack the rear up 2-3", so I had to remove the top three springs, and move them to the bottom. Basically act as a spacer.

    That's a neat little Bantam, Lee! Fascinating little buggers, especially to see what people have done with them over the years.
