image.jpeg hey there. Bought a 55 Buick and running the numbers on the data plate to know the trim and paint. I noticed that there's no model number and can't figure out why.
    Anyone have ideas?

That is strange. Gotta picture of it? Think it would be a 56R Which would be a Super Riviera hardtop.

    The Style No. is 4537.

I've never seen a MODEL number on a Fisher body tag.

  4. Not sure why but it should be a model 56R.

The paint code shows a white top and black body above and below the side trim.

Thanks for the info. Does sound like a nice combination and the interior I think is suppose to be a two tone black and gray. I'll have to post more pics when I get it home, but here's one.
Jim - the websites I found to decode the data plate show it should have a model code next to the mod at the top of the plate, which since mine was missing I thought was weird. I wonder if some just didn't come with it.

Yep the 56R Means Rivera Super two door hardtop. 4537 Means two door hardtop in all models.

Nice car, I had a 55 Special 4 door hardtop Model 55-43 that I put and engine out of a 55 Super 4 door sedan that was a road eater.
