History Drag cars in motion.......picture thread.

Blast off!

 

This is the same car posted earler set up for a different class.

 

I don't claim to have seen every race car from the 60's but this one to me is interesting. 1st. it's a MG. 2nd it's a BM/SP. If there is a 3rd it has about 1-13/16" looking injection. I have never seen a picture or in person of this car. I really enjoy the history and pictures of these early drag racers. Thanks for posting. Any info on it?

I think/know the C/G "Hairbender" is after about 68 somewhere around there the discontinued modified sports and in the earlier photo it has 4 lug wheels, narrower Cragars. They seem to be running during the same time period as we were, 62-68ish.

The picture of the MG is a repost, I'm still going to talk to James and get the history of this car this week my schedule has just been busy. I found this picture of an early corvette and noticed it had the same Manning & Gipson on the side.
