    This reminds me of a friend of my dad's who loved to put 455 Olds engines in every thing. He had a early/mid-60's Chevy 4x4 that he put 2 cabs on, 2 455 Olds (one for driving and the other to run the PTO for the 10' snowthrower). When you looked under it all you could see was drive shafts and gearboxes everywhere. I wish I had taken pictures back then.

    Long rear deck on that 59 might indicate a Skyliner retractable!

    They look great from that angle , but I always thought they looked a little goofy at a dead on profile shot. The back end was just too big. I think they had 32 little motors/solenoids to runs those tops and were quite prone to failure at the wrong times

    I had breakfast recently with a club who were on a cruise with several 57,8,&9 cars and they loved them. All the tops worked fine.
