  1. No Bob,If you came to Anderson via 29 hwy from Hartwell and turned left on 187 at the 4 way stop in front of Shiloh Church and headed toward town it is on the right corner of Whitehall & Centerville road.

I do know the old store your thinking about and it is similar. HRP

  4. Some old pics from my hometown. The cars over here were generally a tad smaller, at least in the 50:s and later on. :)

  11. I think you guys are misinterpreting. This thread is asking for PRE 1965 Pictures of gas stations not just the stations themselves. So the OP just wanted vintage photos, I think that's what JW @26 T Ford RPU was trying to get across

Maybe the OP should change the title to Vintage Images of Gas Stations. There are other threads for modern pics.

  14. The photo I mentioned was taken last Sunday as said by the person that took it and posted it !!! There is a modern Van behind the R/H pump and as for me Chilling, there are many Gas station threads on The HAMB and this one is different and it would be cool to keep it for what it was intended, im sure that is why the OP started it in the fist place. Try posting a modern pic in As They Were and see what goes down.:rolleyes: JW

  19. Some more pics from my hometown. The Plymouth (1952?) may actually have been built here, we had a plant where CKD cars (Plymouth and Dodge) were assembled.

And for those who noticed it... yes, we drove on the left side here in Sweden until 1967.

Found this jewl in Oklahoma on power tour 2016. Longest running gas station that hasn't shut down at all since 1937. Walking inside is like a step back in time, even the bathrooms are very vintage. Was a DX station before it was transformed to Sinclair in the 80s.... And you can still get full service... pt3.jpg
