Great pics B&B . Really have to wonder how that little Standard Flying Eight found it,s way to the U.S.A. I had two of those about 20 years ago. Smaller than an Anglia. More like a Fiat Topolino. What i really liked about the Flying 8 was no roof gutters but instead that little swageline that went all around the side window and roof edge. Looks like someone ran out of blue paint.
A special thanks to Curt Holteen for taking the pictures and helping me this weekend, and of course a very special thanks to my Crew Chief Extraordinaire Jack Davis for all the help.................
Great pictures! Thank you for showing. I had high hopes of making out there and running the 57 but it didn't work out. In had been waiting to see pictures of this event!!! Sent from my SM-G550T using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
And the winner of the first Flathead/6cyl Clash is.......Ron Bowers, here getting trophy from Dick Sappington runner up
Bloody fantastic. Wish I could bring my HAMBster over to race there. Our Nostalgia type days over here are disappearing up their own backsides. All you hear is "I'd build one to race but the wife won't let me" or the excuse that pissed me off, "I can't afford to build a racecar because I promised to take the family, including the sponging kids and their partners to Bali next year".
