Traditional vs hot rod, standard vs streamlined, black vs red, fenderless vs full fender, 32 vs 33/34, wires vs Moon caps, no bumper vs Nerfs, little lights vs big lights…etc. How many ways can we compare and contrast these two hot rods in our 2000’s era?

    Hello,

Front ends attract most enthusiasts as we see it coming toward us at all angles. When stationary, it is certainly a lot easier to compare each vs the other. “What you see is what you get…” to show case the hot rod in various angles. The 32 is very popular in all shapes and builds. The 33-34 has a different style in its own. One looks like it will block the wind, while the other looks like it will slice the wind...There always be two camps or points of view as to the popularity of each version.

If I were to own a 34 ford 3 window for the street, it would look like the one above that I saw at the Price Transfer, Lions Museum Event. But, if I was going to have a race car, it would look like the old, Jim Miles 34 that I filmed at Riverside Raceway and Bakersfield Smokers events in 1959-60. (including the Moon Disc equipped trailer...)

    Hello,
A fine example of classic pinstriping to make the grille of this A.D. GMC Suburban stand out in So Cal. Whether it is a sunny day (2 in the last weeks) or the "May Gray" days leading up to the "June Gloom," that is So Cal for you...Hot rods, cool trucks and gloomy days, with a slight "ray of sunshine" days scattered throughout May and June is the normal scene.

    Hello,

This rare woody was seen at a local museum, sitting in the Willys Wing. But, it does get driven locally, moved around the wing, and re-positioned elsewhere as the mood fits the curator.

The condition of this 40 Willys Station Wagon “Woody” is immaculate. The detailing is as if it just rolled off of the factory, showroom floor.

The scene would also be a family riding on an empty estate, dirt road somewhere in the heart of Texas or down the Malibu coastline with a couple of longboards sticking out of the back. Either way, the Woody would be doing its intended purpose, carrying around a bunch of people, supplies, or surfboards.

This would really look good in our garage… or my wife and I driving the Woody down the Orange County coastline, or the Pacific Coast Highway to San Diego. As a matter of fact, it probably served time at one of the military bases in 1940-50, or some lucky General's motor pool in So Cal's own Camp Pendleton from 42-50.
