Speedway wrecking, which is behind Erie auto salvage is a great yard that lets you walk around.

I found all these in a junkyard in Sunset, TX (Browne and Sons Auto Salvage). Thought you guys would enjoy these.

  8. To my eye, it seems like it could be a 1951 Lincoln.

  9. After getting a better look at the photo, you are right. I'm baking my crow pie now.

Love this thread! Till I discovered the Hamb I had no idea there were so many like minded people who enjoy cruising old junk yards. Got started years ago with my Dad who liked the possibilities of "old iron" as much as I did. We had some favorite spots back in the 60's and 70's, usually out in farmers fields, that required regular "field" trips.

The suicide doors are a dead giveaway!

  12. I missed that the first time I saw the photo. I also forgot that Lincolns switched to vertical tail lamps from round ones that year.

Yes he will sell it. Wants $2400 for it, needs floors, and he doesn't have the title. No engine or trans.

  25. This one has possibilities.......if the windshield wasn't laid back quite so much it works better as a coupe. As is would be a cool little roadster.

With some good sticky tires I bet that would do a hell of a wheel stand. I agree, straighten the layed back windshield a bit, which would level the roof some, and it would flow much better.
