The car belongs to Paul Reid, it was built in the early 90's as a tribute to Jake's yellow '34, the chassis is almost exact with 264 buick, muncie 4 speed and early quick change. Car has seen plenty of miles.

I've been assisting a friend of mine who lives in Tasmania in importing parts he brought in the USA. He buys parts in the USA, sends the parts to me and when I have a box full, I ship them to him. Much cheaper that trying to import items one at a time. The shipping costs are incredibly high through the vendors.

My point is that anyone not involved with the extremely high costs and difficulty of obtaining parts overseas, as well as the onerous laws pertaining to building the cars, cannot fully appreciate what the guys from "down under" and other overseas locations, have to go through to build these cars and what a fine job they do in building them. I would guess it typically costs 3-5 times as much to build a car in OZ as it would in the States. I look at their dedication, expense and workmanship in awe !!
