I've got a friend that's a die hard Pontiac guy.. he's got many cars from the early 60s- the 70s. He was throwing around the idea of building a traditional hotrod ('28-'34 ford) and he would want to put an early Pontiac in it. Turns out, I can't find any pictures of it. I know it's been done because he told me he saw one in a magazine, but surely some people on here can help me out..

Tell your buddy to come visit me in Charleston, I have a whole gaggle of em. Or, I'll swing by Carthage on the way to the HAMB Drags this year and do a big 'ol burnout in front of his house. Whichever is more convenient for him.

There's an article from the 50's on a really cool little T with a pontiac but I can't track it down. "Texas T" or "Totally T" or something like that.
Pontiacs were used quite a bit back then.

  13. I was of the Opinion that if it really was 1962. the American graffiti 55 Chevy would of had a Pontiac engine. most likely a multi carbed version.

Where did you find a blower manifold for a Pontiac?
I need (want) one and can't seem to find one in any condition.

  16. I remember a magazine article about a 55 chevy named Goliath. It had a 389 Pontiac mill.

There was one in the HAMB Classifieds a month or so ago. Also, Blower Drive Service has them on the shelf, ready to go for $750. You need one.

Good choice for an engine my first rod was a 39 deluxe Ford coupe with a 400 Pontiac and a 400 TH transmission. It ran great very strong and was very dependable too. I wished I had a picture of the engine compartment to post

    ^^That's pretty sweet^^

  27. Does this one count? For those that don't know, our Canadian built pontiacs actually were chevy powered. The 55 to 57? Pontiac had stamped steel valve covers that were actually on Chevy engines.
