Great coverage, thanks! I think it's funny how these "big old cars" don't look so big compared to the new cars:
Wow, great stuff! Thanks for sharing. So much for the gathering dying when it lost Paso Robles. Show looks really strong with great participation. Did you win the 'long distance' award?
I wasn't able to make the trip to santa maria this year. Thanks to you I still got to see it.thanks so much
We were sitting in the fairgrounds next to the car and was surprised to hear a voice saying "I don't believe this car is here. This makes my weekend" It was John D'Agostino who I met back in 2016 when he was the guest at an event in Australia called Back to Brunswick which is held in a small coastal town in northern New South Wales. John organised us with preferred parking back at the Santa Maria Inn which is normally reserved for WKC members or guests a the hotel.Time for a photo shoot with John and myself and travelling companion Rocky
The trip is almost over. Finished today at Santa Maria and found that I was in the top 5!!! The winners in order were Gene Winfield with the revamped Jade Idol, John D'Agostino with the Hirohata Merc then a beautiful 51 Chev Fleetline, myself and a beautiful 41 Buick fastback. What a weekend!!. The a 5 hours drive to Encinitas where I am now and a couple of days of R & R. Late now and pictures tomorrow.
Great photos...thanks! It appears California has the market cornered on chevy fleetlines! Both 2 and 4 doors.
We attended a tiny private party at Paul's navigator's home, yesterday afternoon, to celebrate their safe return. He got all the road grime and bugs off of the Hudson, and it still looks great for all that he put it through over the past month. That car looks so much better in person than it does in a photo. Truly stunning car.
