Don't chastise me for asking this, but has anyone built a full fendered model A coupe on 32 rails? I am wanting to build a open wheeled coupe, but once the sub rails have been cut & modified & welded in there is no easy going back. At this time the laws up here will let us have fender less antique cars, but if the laws were to some day change I was thinking that I could put fenders on it at that time. I know that this goes against the main reason for using the 32 frame, but was looking at my possible options. Not to knock anyone's likes/dislikes, I just don't care for the motorcycle front fenders & partial rear fender look. Does anyone have any pics or comments? Thanks. Bill
Hamber @Dyce is doing a fendered Roadster......oops I mean Coupster... on a 32 frame...I will get the link...and hes doing a fine job as well... https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/model-a-coupster-on-32-rails-updated.335443/
If you don't pinch the rails rails and align the body with the rear fenders all of the 32 fenders and running board will work. If you pinch the frame anywhere you'll have to modify the fenders and running boards.
Thanks for the comments. I would use the 32 fenders & running boards. Frame will be bobbed in the rear & gas tank in trunk.
